Interim spring standings were issued yesterday, and Duke has moved all the way up to sixth place. Realistically, Duke is likely to finish either seventh or eighth, as UVa and Florida are close behind, and are likely to at least get to the super-regionals in baseball, which would offset the points that the Duke men's golf and women's track and field teams will earn in the next week. If they both flame out and Duke is able to catch USC in the final round in men's golf, Duke could conceivably finish fifth, but that seems to be little more than a theoretical possibility.
Stanford is, as usual, going to win by a bunch. Right now, Pac-10 and ACC schools hold the top seven places, with the Pac-10 going 1-2-3-5 (Stanford, UCLA, Cal, and USC), and the ACC holding 4-6-7 (Heels, Duke, Hoos).
