Singler may paint well. Thomas may draw well. Battier may dance well. But no one, and I mean no one, can sing like Nolan:

I've been a Nolan fan for a very long time (my signature hasn't changed in a while). His presence on the basketball court is amazing. He is a fantastic teammate and puts in so much effort in the classroom. He is great at interviews and never shies away from any challenge. He has a contagious smile and always seems to have fun whenever he's on the court or in front of the camera.

And now, this. Its cringe factor is almost as high as the UK version of the Office. But I love this video. I can't stop watching it. It makes me smile every time.

I have to say, maybe it is just that the team is (thanks to technology) more "available" to the public, and maybe it is that they have been ENCOURAGED to be more open to the public (K seemed to imply they would try to make the program more accessible a year or so ago) but it does seem that Nolan is one of the most outgoing, funny, and confident Duke players I can remember. The Titanic thing, especially given the machismo of sports and many athletes' cultures, was just outrageous and funny has hell and really took a lot of confidence to even attempt.

I'll be very sorry to see Nolan go; he is a great face for the program. I know he will do fine in the NBA though, because he really seems to be loved and respected at all levels of basketball.

Of course, this is the great thing about having Nolan at Duke. When he goes to the NBA or on to whatever it is his future holds, he will always be a great representative for the university. We'll be glad to call Nolan our own for more reasons than just basketball.
