7:30 p.m. ESPN Purdue at Virginia Tech
9:15 p.m. ESPN2 Maryland at Penn State
9:30 p.m. ESPN Michigan State at Duke

Let's see:
the Big Ten will open 1-0 with Minnesota beating Virginia
On Tuesday night:
Wake should beat Iowa in Winston
Northwestern, with its best team in years, should beat Georgia Tech in Evanston
great game in Tallahassee -- Ohio State is better, but they are young and FSU is home
I like Clemson at home (how do they get two home games in a row) vs. Michigan
Another great game in Champaign-Urbana ... I like illinois over a young UNC team

So I see the Big Ten up 3-2-1 (OSU at FSU the tiebreaker) going into Wednesday:
BC should win the battle of bad teams in Chesnut Hills
But Wisconsin is too tough for NC State at home
Purdue-Va Tech a great game -- I like the Boilermakers even in Blacksburg
Maryland at Penn State --I'll give Gary the edge
Finally, I like Duke to win at home over Michigan State (call me biased)

Overall, that breaks down to 5-5-1 ... with the Ohio State at FSU game that I'm too chicken to call being the tiebreaker

I'd like our chances a lot better if we could let them add Nebraska a year early -- even Miami at Nebraska would be in our favor
