And in reminiscence of all the great times, and in thanks for being a lifeline during my exile in SEC country, a window back onto the DBR of old, when I first started coming here (almost every day):

I don't remember when I started reading DBR, but I do remember when the visitor count was posted on the main page every day. Anybody else remember that, and when it was?

Happy birthday to the best college basketball site on the net. Is juliovision considered part of or prior to DBR?

Happy Birthday, guys!

Thanks for the link and the memories. This is even before the parquet floor and the bulletin board material is there too. As a non techie, I have no idea how you captured it, but I guess it reinforces the adage that anything posted in cyberspace is out there somewhere.

Juliovision is the origin. See the link below for a nice story on the evolution of DBR and its principals.

All the Best to the good guys who founded and ran the site. Many, many thanks to Julio for keeping this Duke enterprise going for all these years.

Thanks for all you do, DBR!

I think I first stumbled across DBR trying to figure out what time the team would be returning to Cameron after 2001 NCAA title. I was a late bloomer...

Without question, this is the best Duke Basketball Site on the internet (with the caveat that some of the insider sites to which I don't belong may have more recruiting information). It is my home page, and I spend more hours than I care to confess reading the articles, going through the boards, and generally learning about and enjoying Duke basketball.

Many, many thanks for all you have done for us. For those readers who don't financially support DBR, take the time to send them a check. Even a small donation helps. When someone does something this good, it deserves to be rewarded in both financial and written form!:)
