Some of y'all might remember the paintings I had done with the football team, now I've got some basketball paintings that I am working with. This is the first. It's done from photos I took at this year's unc game, my dad was not feeling well and gave me his tickets.

Very cool CB&B. Keep them coming. This is as good as the Football pics were. Great detail.

I look forward to seeing the next one. You likely did not photo the moment but if you had a pic of Singler with his arms in the air after the Miles Plumlee dunk in that game that would be awesome.

There is a photo of that on Blue Planet but I know you prefer to only paint photo's you actually took.

A couple people have asked if I was going to do that one. I have two or three more from that game, including the tip-off, that I will probably do. I also have pictures from the Pfeiffer game (remember way back then?), one of which I did and is now hanging on CathyCA's wall. It's this one..

More expressionistic...this painting has grown on me lots since I painted it in February.

Ooh, I love them! To be honest, I wouldn't want the first one on my wall though, because I wouldn't want to have to look at Carolina every day!! (Even though I'd know we killed them!)

Hey man, terrific job. Those are really great.

Was Nolan actually wearing white Duke Kobes? Because if so, I'm going to have to be on the hunt, starting now.

I agree that these paintings are excellent. I look forward to seeing more.

The goduke.com gallery doesn't have any pictures of Nolan in that game, but Andre's shoes look similar (http://image.cdnl3.xosnetwork.com/pics21/800/IK/IKNETEONZZTCIPV.20091025012013.jpg).

Here's Nolan vs. Findlay (http://image.cdnl3.xosnetwork.com/pics11/800/JQ/JQAEQRXFFQGKQGW.20091104024625.jpg).

(Yay for post 1-2-3-4.)

Yeah that one is extra nice. Nolan sizing up the situation and readying to make his move. You captured that well.

So if we beg, plead, barter, blackmail, etc etc, any chance we convince you to paint the infamous Singler pic???

CB&B, these paintings are awesome work. I especially like that one of Kyle walking all over Carolina. I hope you plan to show us some more sports at Duke. Please remind us of your website url.

Thanks much..I show at Arts & Things. If you're in the neighborhood on the 15th & 16th, I'll have all of my paintings on display at ARTrageous, it's an outdoor show in conjunction with a boat show on the waterfront. Couple questions answered, it takes a few days to paint each one. The painting of Kyle is 27" x 15". Even if you beg and plead, I still won't paint that picture of his hands in the air. :D
Thanks much to all for the complements, I'll post more as I finish them.

That's really a special talent so congratulations. I'm pretty sure I would have flunked finger painting had I been allowed to flunk in kindergarten. Best of luck with it all!

Love these. I'm looking at the shot of Kyle and thinking that there's no doubt he's going to score! You captured him perfectly. Would love to see a rendition of the "Scheyer Face" in watercolor! :D

Good looking out. Those are simply outstanding. I have the blue/black colorway of the Duke Kobes and I WISH they had sold this one somewhere.
