Richie? O'Connor. Remember him as an undersized forward in the early 70's. One of many that Waters chased away.

And Fitzsimons went to Harvard - only Melchioni and Alan Shaw remainded from my class. Lost Elmer the next year and on and on and on with Bucky.

Yeah---4 national championships---who woulda thunk it in those days. :)

This isn't suprising seeing how Steve Donahue coaches. But Sanders was a very good player, that could shoot, score in the paint, rebound, and pass the ball.

I'm very suprised he is dropping so low to a school like fairfield.

I remember watching the NCAA tourney in the mid 70's thinking how much fun it would be to see Duke in a tournament game. Never thought I'd get to watch what must be close to a 100 of them.

I was there with 3 head coaches in 4 years. Waters, McGeachy and Foster. I did get to see David Thompson live in Cameron, probably the most talented player ever to play there for a NCAA game.

Tim O'Toole

I'll always remember the answer to that question, not because the event was particularly momentous, but because of this incident (http://www.thesimpsons.com/episode_guide/0313.htm) involving Timmy O'Toole and the song (http://www.metrolyrics.com/were-sending-our-love-down-the-well-lyrics-sting.html) it inspired.
