Hi,

I would like to purchase photos of things such as Duke's first basketball team (when I think we were still Trinity college), early Duke football pictures (team photo perhaps?), and perhaps pictures of early Duke coaches. Any idea where to buy such prints? Does anyone know how much they would cost? I was at a store (now I can't remember the name) in Sausalito, CA that had old prints, but not what I was looking for. The best I could do was one of Coach K with Bobby Knight at Army. I thought it was a bit expensive, $250.00, and since it wasn't really what I wanted, I didn't buy it.

GO DUKE!

I'd check out the Duke archives and perhaps contact them if they have higher resolution printable versions to purchase.

For example, he's a picture of the 1916-17 basketball team from the 1917 Chanticleer:

Looks like some rights are reserved to I'd assume that means they're not legal to print (plus, it's not high resolution enough anyways).

This is fascinating stuff. I will be interested in hearing how everything turns out.

Hi,

I put the team pictures (and a few others, man those "tomb" secret society dudes look scary). I've been looking at shot after shot. Very cool.

GO DUKE!
