This is something Coach K is really big on - winning championships. He always talks about how proud he is of his players and teams that win championships. Whether it's a preseason tournament, regular season conference, postseason conference, or NCAA tournament, Coach K sets the goal as winning the championship. I remember two years ago when we won the Maui Invitational and K talked about how proud he was that the team won their first championship together of that season. Really cool that this team won every championship they could this year!

You may wish to consider Southern Regional Champions as an addition to your list.

And this was supposed to be "merely" a good team, not a great one - whatever the heck that means. Talk about overachieving. Legendary. Just, legendary.

KenPom (http://www.kenpom.com/team.php?team=Duke) has us at 4-0. + 3-0 ACC tourney + 6-0 NCAA tourney = 13-0

Though we should only count 4 of those tourney wins as "neutral" courts :D

I agree. I really do think this season may be Krzyzewski's best coaching job ever. The fact that this particular roster produced a national championship means the staff literally squeezed every ounce of talent/potential out of this team. They maxed out, pretty much scraping their ceiling and that is what's most gratifying about this season to me.

I'm so so proud of these seniors foremost, these kids and the coaching staff. I'm just so happy right now.

Does coach of the year honors include post-season? Because if so I don't see how you deny K. Syracuse was good, but honestly not much in the way of post-season success compared to Duke. We were also much more "unathletic" and "not talented" and "were very susceptible to bowing out of the tournament early." Especially when compared to Syracuse.

Maybe only with Brad Stevens, although I do agree, K should get the NCOY

The voting for coach and player of the year and All-Americans concludes well before the Final Four.
