...to his brother, Danny Hurley.

I know there's lots of stuff happening today, to say the least, but I'm excited to see Bobby getting a coaching job.

Good luck to the Hurleys...and congrats to their dad on the induction into the basketball Hall of Fame.

He currently coaches the JV team at a local private high school (home of Brandon Knight) and lives in Hallandale Beach. I've been trying to spot him Publix for a year, but no luck. Congratulations to him and hopefully this is the start of a long coaching career!

congrats to Bobby, and of course to Danny who actually got the head-coaching gig. It's nice that Bobby is moving back more to basketball, the horse racing thing always wigged me out, a bit shady it always seemed.
And this announcement on the day that another thread was started about who might be the next former player to appear as an assistant at Duke. Good luck Bobby!!

At the Duke book store on Saturday they were playing the championship video from 1992 (really bad hair for Grant and Thomas Hill btw). Great to see Bobby and Co in action again! Good luck Bobby!

bobby hutrley is my favorite player of all time.......i raised my only son to play just like hurley did, and he did.........unfortunately he lost his young life at 17 in a car accident running an errand for me in the middle of the day.......i still feel a connection to my son every time i watch films of hurley playing.......it's a very special thing for me.........

I bet he will at least temporarily regret this decision next December during a snow storm :D But best of luck to him up in Staten Island. I am sure he will be a great coach for the point guards.

I havent seen the topic discussed here. Good for Bobby, I hope he enjoys coaching and maybe one day can coach his own team.

Sorry, usually better at noticing old threads.

No joke. Wagner beat Duke in Cameron on January 5, 1983 with a bald-of-necessity point guard. How far we've come.
