Duke, Baylor playing twice for Final Four berths

HOUSTON (AP) -A double dose of Baylor and Duke for NCAA Final Four berths.

Top-seeded Duke and third-seeded Baylor play in the men's NCAA South Regional final on Sunday. Then, on Monday night in Memphis, the Duke women and the Lady Bears square off for a spot in the women's Final Four.

It is fairly common for schools to have both of its teams advance to the round of eight in the same season. That happened three times in 2009 and 14 times since 2000, according to STATS LLC. But this is the first time ever that there has been the same regional final matchup in both tournaments.

Duke women's coach Joanne P. McCallie calls the quirk "kind of interesting.''

Bears center Ekpe Udoh (Epp-Ay You-Doe) says it is "just going to be fun to see'' Baylor versus Duke both ways.

'was cheering for this to happen. Kinda fun, and sure to get media attention. Interestingly, though Duke is the higher seed in both, I suspect that the men may have slightly better odds of moving on. We will see. Go Duke!!!

Sure would be nice for the women to get another crack at UCONN. There wouldn't be that "awe" that they may have entered the first game with. If anything, maybe a little anger. But let's take care of Baylor first!!

Go Duke!!

Speaks volumes on the quality of both programs at both schools.

Ask Notre Dame how the play them again=play better tune goes

Game 1:70-46
Game 2:76-51
Game 3:59-44

well at least they got within 15 on try #3.....maybe if they play in the tourney they can keep it to single digits!

Methodists aren't Reformed though.

What I want to know is what are the odds of Mens and Womens teams, from the same schools, playing in the tourney, for the same spot? That's got to be astronomical.

But we snuck one in there...we've got a Catholic leading the Methodists.
