Dime Magazine's Top 10 Favorite Blue Devils of past 25 years

Hill only an honorable mention? Battier not even on the list? I don't know about that but this guy Cassidy has definitely got alot of my all time favorites on here. To be fair, it's a list of favorites and not best so it's all opinion but still. Haven't heard McCaffrey's name in years, but he was one of my favorite and I wish he would have stayed. I don't think Scheyer should be there at all

Hard to take his list seriously at all. He seems to have quite a bias for white players. Everyone is entitled to one's opinion of course.

9. G. Hill/Battier - Ultimate class guys (at least as far as one can tell from the outside)
8. D. Ferry - Favorite quote (basic gist) - We can go 2 and 26 as long as those 2 are against UNC
7. Carrawell/N. James - Dominating the ACC and still a great team
6. T. Amaker/Q. Synder - My early Duke PGs
5. T. Hill - The ultimate glue guy with solid contributions everywhere
4. Laettner - Clutch with 'tude
3. Hurley - Clutch with mad court vision
2. Brickey - Dunking machine
1. J.J. - Draining 3s

Putting this list together, though, made me realize I have closer to 50 favorite players form the last 25 years rather than just 10. Way too many great guys left off.

Understand it's his list... and the dude is entitled to his opinion. I can understand the distate toward Avery/Maggette/Brand (I showed up during that whole fallout). Maybe even not being a fan of Paulus (I know plenty of Blue Devilers who aren't)

I just don't understand how the dude seems to have lost interest around 1999, and only regained it in post 2004 or so. What wasn't to like in Battier/J-Will/Duhon??
