Wow. Since I started doing this in 2007-08, I can't remember a game with stats that looked like this. Everyone is positive and grouped between +1 and +4. The lineups, too, are bunched incredibly tightly. And what's even more remarkable about these stats is that there were some spurts -- both ways -- during this game. The bottom line is that when everyone is positive, there's no way you can lose! And Duke is the ACC Champion.

Anyway, on to the numbers ...

Individuals
Kyle Singler 65-61 (+4)
Nolan Smith 53-49 (+4)
Mason Plumlee 29-26 (+3)
Miles Plumlee 22-19 (+3)
Jon Scheyer 60-58 (+2)
Andre Dawkins 19-17 (+2)
Brian Zoubek 41-40 (+1)
Lance Thomas 36-35 (+1)

Per 40 Minutes
Miles Plumlee +10
Mason Plumlee +7.1
Andre Dawkins +6.2
Nolan Smith +5.3
Kyle Singler +4.1
Jon Scheyer +2.1
Lance Thomas +1.7
Brian Zoubek +1.4

Lineups
Scheyer-Smith-Singler-Mason-Zoubek 4-2 (+2)
Scheyer-Dawkins-Singler-Mason-Miles 3-1 (+2)

Scheyer-Smith-Singler-Mason-Miles (x3) 16-15 (+1)
Scheyer-Dawkins-Singler-Thomas-Zoubek (x2) 6-6 (+0)

Interesting that the starting five is negative. Emphasizes the lift that Dawkins and the Plumlees provided.

Kind of supported my observation that the Plumlees seemed to have an easier time staying with Favors. While Zoubs has been playing great and rebounded well today, he had some trouble staying with Favors.

And what was interesting was they were the best combination -- by far -- until that late run by Georgia Tech.

The results are so close they are statistically insignificant. In a game with 101 shots, 27 TOs, 66 rebounds, and who knows how many passes, these differences are as likely due to chance as to any basketball factors among the Duke players. Note also that the lineup variations are all between +2 and -2.

Looks like a team effort! Great game for all!
