Does anyone have an HD recording of last night's game that they can put on a DVD?

I'll pay for supplies, postage, and your troubles.

Cheers.

My ESPNU channel says "North Carolina at Duke" from 4:30 - 6:00.

Replay of last night's game?

We watched the tape right after we got home from the game. Twice is nice!

I already watched the replay of the game on ESPN360.com. If you sign up for that, you can watch replays of all sports events shown on ESPN360 (approximately 2/3 of the Duke games this year).

If someone can teach me how to take it off my Time Warner Cable DVR so I can burn it onto DVD, I'd do it for free, just from one fan to another.

A mystery I would like unraveled as well.

The ESPN broadcast of the game in Chapel Hill is available for download on the iTunes Store. Yesterday's game will probably be available in the next day or two.

To download from itunes and then burn a DVD?

These would make great gifts for UNC-CH fans.

No. When you purchase something from iTunes, you've only really purchased the right to play it in iTunes or a compatible device (like an iPod or iPhone). You can archive the file to disk in its raw (.mp4) format, but this cannot be played in a regular DVD player.

There may be some crack utilities that let you create a regular DVD, but nothing legal that I'm aware of.

I have an old TV with a built-in VHS and I connect it to the Cable DVR and record that way. Very old school, but it works. I actually have a VHS machine that also allows you to burn DVDs, but if I could just figure it out...

Here's a link to a free, perfectly legit, and fairly well regarded app for converting movie files from one format to another: http://download.cnet.com/FLV-Crunch/3000-2194_4-10909295.html?tag=mncol.

Keep in mind, however, that while the app itself is legal, certain uses are not. You may want to check Apple's copyrights, but I'd venture to guess that they prohibit the reproduction and distribution of MPEG 4s (.mp4) or their content, if not the act of reformatting MPEG 4 altogether.

If you make a copy, will you send me one? :)

If my wife doesn't delete the game from the DVR, I can burn it directly to a DVD. The feed was HD, but IIRC the only way to record HD is via Blu-Ray, and this is just a standard DVD burner.

So if you're interested, PM me with your snail mail address. I typically will do this for whatever it costs to ship and burn, which is less than $5.
