Four different conferences? That's kind of amazing. Was that with four different teams, or did Maine switch conferences while she was there?

This is an awesome honor ..and one that is deserved.

I remember watching her MSU team the year they made the finals and being impressed. I also remeber watching her first Duke team, and not being impressed (they were not fun at all to watch!). That said, this is a prime example of the virtue of patience in athletics. This year's team isi very good, and I did not know that she had the #1 class coming in next year.

This situation has turned into a great fit ... and I think she is going a wonderful job.

As Abby Waner said, Coach P had a lot stacked against her that first year. I believe there is a large difference in the coaching styles of Coach G and Coach P.

Congrats to Coach P and her staff! I'll bet many more honors will follow for the Duke coaches and players.
