"The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) released the All-ACC Freshman Team on Tuesday with Duke’s Allison Vernerey earning accolades by a vote of 42 members from the Blue Ribbon Panel.
Along with Vernerey, Chasity Clayton (Florida State), Diandra Tchatchouang (Maryland), Marissa Kastanek (N.C. State) and Sandra Garcia (Wake Forest) were on the five-member team. Kastanek from the Wolfpack received ACC Freshman of the Year honors.
Vernerey, who is from Alsace, France, has stepped in as a freshman and provided a key boost in the post for the ninth-ranked Blue Devils. She has averaged 7.4 points, 5.2 rebounds and 0.8 blocked shots, while hitting 50.9 percent from the field."
