How often does somebody say that we need to get scoring out of somebody other than the big 3...Tonight, everybody that has gotten on the floor has scored, and we could still lose. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad to see that we've gotten points from the bench, and I think that it will be good to get offense from others as long as the 3 are getting theirs, too.

Come on, guys, let's pull this one out in the last 3 minutes!

Watching this game has taken me back to 2001 and reminded me why I think Maryland fans are knobs and coined the term "Terping".

Definitely not our night, ladies and gents. We put up a great fight but frankly our FT % and some incredibly lucky shots from Maryland buried us tonight.

It was Maryland's night. With all due respect to the Terps, they hit some of the most ridiculous shots I've seen all season. They beat us fair and square tonight. But I've watched MD all season and even with all their close games, they played their best game of the year tonight. And it's not even close.

Learn from it and regroup for Carolina.

I hate to blame it on the refs but what the heck. How many blown calls did they have. Maryland played well, and i'm not taking anything away from them but really, I dont even know what to say.

Plus really most hated rival.....wow mike patrick

Crap. Really not enjoying coming up short in this one. Maybe it's a good thing that I didn't actually get to watch this game; had to follow a gamecast.

I think our chance to win the regular season outright just went out the window. Oh well, at least we get to beat Carolina this weekend – in prime time, no less.

This game should be an object lesson in the importance of matching an opponent's intensity RIGHT FROM THE START. Instead of trying to hang in there and weather the storm, we should've come out determined to be even more aggressive than they were.

I got home with a few minutes gone in the first half and couldn't believe all the HORSE shots. Spotted them too big of a lead.

Actually, if you blame the loss on the refs, you're taking everything away from Maryland. Just sayin'.

yay storm the court b/c our (Maryland) program is a joke even though it is ranked in the Top 25.

With all due respect Maryland definitely played a hell of a ball game, but we were straight "jacked up" by the referees in this game at points. In the end I do have to give it to Maryland for sticking with us throughout the second half, but they won "fair and square" with a little help from the zebras.

shulman keeps talking about the right to hang a banner. someone tell him that we don't hang banners for the regular season ACC championship--the ACC champion is the tournament champion. what kind of ridiculous program would hang a banner for the regular season? :D

Why no more zone? It worked great in the first half.

5 losses this season. 4 courts stormed. 2 of those court stormings were by teams ranked when they beat us. I'm actually a little flattered.

In the long run, I don't think this loss matters. I think we'll still win the ACC, possibly getting our revenge on the Terps in the process, and grab a 1 seed.

It wasn't a terrible game. This is obviously Maryland's biggest game of the year, and I thought we did a good job matching their intensity. There were two really bizarre calls by the refs in this game, but I don't think that decided the game. We missed too many free throws, including the front ends of some one-and-ones. And the three's just weren't dropping. A lot of wide open three's too, good shots that just didn't fall. Maryland hit a couple of prayers. And there you have it.

This game doesn't make me feel any worse about our tourney chances (which I'm admittedly not super high on, though I do think there's at least a glimmer of hope this year).

Duke has done so for several years now.
