Who said she wasn't a credible witness?

Sounds like Ol' Sparky needs to be plugged back in for one last go-round.

For *attempted* murder?

Two points...

Her boyfriend is a complete idiot for dating an established nutcase who will throw you in jail because she doesn't like the way you smile at her.

Police charged Mangum with identity theft because she gave them a fake name, "Marella Mangum," and age, authorities said. That is the stupidest charge, ever.

What an awful situation for those kids.

It is to hard to believe that she walked away from that situation, lying to the police and putting the players, community, and the school through hell with absolutely no repercussions except having to write a book!! Maybe this time, unless prosecutors again say "Well she has some issues"

This is a sketchy article, and the 6-8 felony charges seem a bit overblown.

What is odd though is that she threatened to kill her boyfriend and then set his clothes on fire in the bathtub after the police were inside the house.

No it's not. If there is a person with that name (like a relative), then giving that name to police means that person would have to deal with their name dragged through the mud at the minimum. a.k.a., when someone steals your identity you have to deal with that. It's a completely legit charge.

Why does she still have custody of those poor children?

Let's not rehash the LAX debacle. It's been beaten to death and beyond.

For *attempted* murder?

Do they give Nobel Prizes for "attempted" chemistry?

Yes, that veritably screams that she was in an, uhm, altered state.

This could be a big deal, or it could be a bunch of exaggerated charges from a domestic dispute.

Don't forget character assassination.

Gosh! This is such a surprise! I'm flabbergasted with disbelief! I may have to lay down and collect my senses a while.

And one of her kids made the 911 call? What a bum she is.
Throw the book at her. Finally.

Somehow, I suspect that Nancy Grace won't mention this. Ever.

All I can say is that we should not be so quick to convict somebody based on some sketchy media accounts ...

At least that was the lesson I took from the lax hoax.

Let the system play itself out, THEN we can all jump on this fruitcake.

When she lit her boyfriend's clothes on fire, was he wearing them?

I'm not sure that would be an improvement based on their mother.

I'm willing to wait on these charges and see if the investigation leads to a judgement. However, I thought she was a fruitcake before this allegation was made and these allegations don't change that opinion. And I thought the kids should be removed from her care prior to this allegation, also.

Not sure if this is thread worthy, just thought it should be brought to the board's attention. Maybe off-topic is a better fit. Mods, please feel free to move it.
