The women heels still have a shot at the tourney, but they'll have to prove they are worthy of it. Losing 5 straight is not the way to do it. They have dropped out of both polls, just like the men.

The Tar Heels (16-8, 4-6 ACC) were 20th in the coaches' poll last week and 18th in the AP poll. They have lost five straight games, the most recent an 82-78 overtime loss to Virginia on Monday.
Their misery mirrors that being experienced by the men's team, which last month fell out of the ESPN/USA Today coaches' Top 25 for the first time since January 2006. The men (14-11, 3-7) have just two wins in their last nine games.
