Watching big Zoub's 17 boards in 22 minutes, I found, with the attached, the Blue Devil records. He was far off that but tremendous game. Love for him to finish strong!!! Interesting to read some of these records and reminisce about the players.

One stat I'm watching is Jon Scheyer's career scoring total.

With his 22 points against the Terps, he's up to 1,830 for his career. I'm counting on him to get to 2,000 -- he'd be the 10th Duke player to reach that milestone ... I think that's the most in the NCAA.

To get there, Jon needs 170 more points. Barring injury, he's got six more regular season games, at least one more ACC Tournament game and at least one NCAA game. That's eight games guaranteed, but probably more like 10-12, depending on postseason success.

At his current average of 19.2 ppg., Jon needs nine games to get to 2,000 ... he should get it (BTW, Kyle is a lock to get there next season if he returns for his senior season).

I noticed one more interesting stat Saturday. With the big deal made about Coach K's 1,000th game, it was easy to figure his winning percentage at Duke at .781 (Maryland was his 781st victory at Duke).

That's interesting because that legendary coach at Carolina named Dean Smith was 879-254 -- .776 percent. So when K passes him in total victories next season and all those Carolina fans try to bring up winning percentage, remind that K has a better winning percentage at Duke than Dean had at UNC.

(Note: Because K was just 73-59 -- .553 percent -- in five years at Army, his career winning percentage is .754 -- but at Duke, he's been better than Dean was at UNC).

Also, keep in mind that K was 38-47 after three seasons at Duke. So, he had to dig out of a hole to get to 78.1%

There used to be a site with even more detailed stats (including the 25 all time rebounders). Does anyone know where it is?

you won't win an argument with a Tar Heel about winning percentage, because of 1995. no matter how rational you can be.
