I was very sad to hear that Phil Harris of the Deadliest Catch passed away yesterday (http://www.cnn.com/2010/SHOWBIZ/TV/02/10/obit.captain.phil.deadliest.catch/index.html?hpt=T2). He suffered a massive stroke in late January and never full recovered. Condolences to his wife and sons.

And just when it seemed he was starting to recover. How sad. RIP.

Phil was my favorite! My thoughts and prayers to his family. Hopefully DC producers can give him the goodbye that he deserves.

DC is what is good about reality TV. You take an interesting subject matter and mix it with strong characters. I'm a big fan of the show.

My condolences as well. Phil was one of my favorites on the show for sure.

Since this happened in January and he was at St. Paul, I'm assuming this happened during the season. I know the show will do a great job in putting together a fitting tribute to him.

It happened during Opie season. I imagine that they will have him in the full King season and then it will be interesting to see how they handle Opie's.

Condolences to the family. He was not that old -- shows what a hard job it is (and the steady diet of coffee, carbs and cigs doesn't help either).
