He might be the most expendable of UNC's players.

Henson will get his minutes and has been playing better lately.

David Wear would have been a bigger loss, since he can hit the outside shot.

This is a negative for us. I would LOVE to see Travis Wear on the court. Instead, Roy will have to play Henson, like he should. Its not as devastating (for Duke) as if say MArcus Ginyard got hurt though. That would be disastrous for us. The more he's on the floor, the better.

No matter.....

I'm just hoping they all have sore butts after the fanny kicking that we are about to hand to the holes.

The wheels on the bus are falling off.

CHAPEL HILL - University of North Carolina forward Travis Wear severely sprained his left ankle yesterday and will not play in tonight's game against Duke. Wear is on crutches and is out indefinitely after landing on a teammates' foot while grabbing a rebound in Tuesday's practice. X-rays did not show any fracture.

That's a LOT of ankle/foot injuries for them this year. Interesting.

I think the biggest change this makes is that it means more PT for David Wear and maybe less PT for Henson at the 3. I have to figure that Henson will play a bit more at the 4 now. It may also force Williams to play Thompson and Davis more. Other than that, I'm not sure it really changes the gameplan much. Wear was a role player for them anyway.

It does take away any of their remaining depth advantage in the post. In fact, we now have more available big man bodies than they do.

Ultimately, I think the game still comes down to how well we can contain Davis and Thompson, how well their perimeter players shoot and protect the ball, and how well we shoot. And of course, how healthy and out of foul trouble our big three can stay.

Agree that the Travis Wear injury is no big deal ... don't they have a spare Wear anyway?

Just thought I'd mention (in view of the jibe on the front page) that Zeller will NOT be in uniform tonight. He was just cleared Monday night to start running ... he's still a week or two from seeing any action.

It's weird how McDonald on his twitter denied that there was an injury to Travis.

He didn't deny the injury. He just said that it wasn't broken. So far, that appears to be true.
