Am I hallucinating or is Mike Gminski sporting an earing on national TV?

Well, at least its subtle enough that I hadn't noticed it until now ...

Sorry, but 50 year old guys shouldn't wear earings

If it wasn't a hoop style it wouldn't be so bad, but to each their own I guess...

He must be trying to distract us from Tim Brando's hairpiece ;)

Yeah that's pretty awful.

Still love him, though. He's the best there is on FSN Sunday Night Hoops, especially when the suspenders and tie are on:)

The G man is in the rare pantheon of people who I love so much I really think he can get away with anything. He's just so goofy and he was so good at Duke, when I see the hideous earring I just laugh and give him props.

why not?

It's not our generation. It is an attempt to adopt a "younger" look.

Never works.

Some of us don't look or act our ages.

Given the number of body piercings etc folks are getting these days- 50 year old guys without earings may end up looking odd in a few years.

I don't need the help of an ear ring or lack of an ear ring to help me look odd. I don't like ear rings on dudes of any age, guess I am just a fuddy duddy!

Wouldn't that just make it more obvious?

I missed the hoop one, but I always notice the dangling ones, I think they look worse. I was outside Cameron last year before the Miami game, and I noticed his dangling earing from over 100' away. (G-man is one of the rare people that stand out that much from that distance)

Mike Giminski and Aaron Neville can carry off such choices of accessories.

Yes, but it didn't go with his new Jimmy Choo's.

the back of my head was in the program for the 1988 grammy's hard rock section.....note the "bat outta hell" left ear ring.....(photographed by hot shot NY photographer - Robert Lewis)

i don't wear that one much any more, but still....ear rings on 50 year olds is not "just trying to look younger"....

ps....the watch parts were like....."art" or something....

oh yea,,,,,this was a long time ago before i started with the "full monty" head shave...note the textbook "male pattern baldness"

Pardon my presumption, but it seems you are a bit older than GMan, who was not really of the "hippie generation."

I distinguish those, like you, who have an worn earing since it was age-appropriate, from those like GMan, who adopts the look rather later in life.

If women like it, what else matters?
