As some of you know, The Chronicle and Technician have historically put out spoof versions of the Daily Tar Heel front page the morning that their men's basketball team plays at home against Carolina. And they are usually pretty funny in an Onion sort of way.

But sometimes the gods smile down upon you with a bona fide issue of the DTH that is better than anything a parody writer could make up. Behold today's front page featured story in the Daily Tar Heel--and yes, it's real, and yes, the photo illustration is currently my desktop background.

Here is my advice to the DTH, and UNC fan, and probably some of us as well. Act like you've been here before, that you've been a fan longer that 5 years unlike the rest of the bandwagon jumpers. The sheeps struggles will probably continue this season, but its not going to be near as bad as the 02 season. That was truly an epic fail, this is childs play. Its like the 07 season for us was certainly frustrating and unfun, but it didn't come close to the ineptitude that was the 95 season.
