Who was the Man of the Match in the home game vs. Boston College?

Clearly Nolan Smith was the player of the game.

I decided, in the end, that I had to vote for Nolan. But I really wanted to vote for Miles, if his help defense had been better. And I want to make special mention of Lance Thomas, who absolutely shut down Joe Trapani and got in his head in the process. Another game, another mission accomplished for Lockdown Lance.

Nolan - very sharp offensively.

Honorable mention to Kyle - 10 rebounds (5 offensive!) from the 3 position - that guy does so much in so many ways to put us in the W column game after game.

24 points on 9-14 shooting? Attention must be paid.

Since everyone is going to give it to Nolan, I gave some props to the inside guys. I wish I could have split it between Miles and Zoubek, but gave it to Miles because he was showing an ability to put the ball in the net with heavy traffic around him by taking it up strongly. Could have been more from him if not for foul trouble.

Nolaaaaaaaaaaaaan! It is about time. There, I said it. He plays like that the rest of this year and Duke is a tough out.

dth.

I voted Z based on pure effort, knowing someone else would win MOM. :)

The D on Trapani was definitely the unsung story of the game. The guy killed us last year and this time around it was like he didn't even suit up.

Miles. Some tough buckets underneath.

Since there was no clear winner, I went with Lance. Trapani was my biggest concern going in and oh my goodness, LT SHUT HIM DOWN.

Why can't I vote for Trevor Booker or Demontez Stitt? :D

Nolan for MOTM. Singler/MP1/Zoubs for Bedeviler.

So far, LT has turned Brakins, Booker, Favor and now Trapani into complete nonfactors. I suspect that our friends down the road will not be recieving as much production out of Ed Davis as they might expect when we play them.

Miles. He showed us tonight that he is becoming very comfortable with the physical play underneath the rim and he pretty much kept us in the game in the first half. Nolan a very close second.

Nolan lit up the scoreboard, but I had to go with Miles. For a stretch in the first half it seemed anytime BC hit a go ahead bucket, Miles came down and hit a big shot for us to tie it back up or put us up by a point. A few of these came off offensive boards when BC could have easily taken it down and extended their lead.

12 (timely)pts, 5 rebs, 1 blk, 1 stl in 19 minutes. Good night for Miles. However, his interior D could have been better in the 1st half.....

Nice bounce-back game for Kyle, and Miles had what might be his best game of the year thus far, but ultimately Nolan gets my vote.
