Just wondering what y'all think. Apparently, they're gonna show college football, basketball, and world cup soccer, among other things.

I'd be happier if they gave us access to all the cameras at all times and we can pick and choose which one to watch. Or maybe if they can add the Matrix effect where you can just rotate the viewing angle along with the 3d, that might be cool when you go back and re-play something

I know nothing about 3D technology. Will you need a "3D TV" for this like you need an HDTV or is it just something that you can buy a pair of glasses and then it works on whatever TV you have?

I would trade all of that for an option to mute the announcers, while still being able to hear the sounds of the game.

For now, you'll still need glasses.

Here's a great article from last year:

You'll probably see more stuff soon from this year's CES (this month).

Check out this list to see if your current HDTV is "3D Ready"

The 61" DLP TV I bought in 2007 is!

DirecTV will be adding a 3D channel this year.

(side note)I just threw up a link to a Google News search for "DirecTV 3D" and the result was an adult movie industry site! I hope I edited before anyone saw that.... remind me to read the links I'm posting here before I paste them!!!

I'd have to actually see something on the 3d channel before commenting.Where is the channel and has anything been broadcast yet? Can't comment until i see it,may be cool but i've never really liked 3d movies though.
