I don't think they'll be discussing barbecue.

6:30 am pacific, so I'm assuming 9:30 eastern. I don't think they run those things "live" to both coasts.

That game is also orderable again at the online Duke Store. I have one on the way for Christmas along with the 1991 Title game against Kansas. Going to be a great Christmas!

Also coming up at 1 PM (Eastern Time) Saturday the 26th:

Duke at Maryland in 2001. You know the game.

This game was a great moment in history, I remember excatly where I was and what I was doing when it happened. Almost like all the other world changing events that have happened in the last 30 years. Weird huh?Greatest game I have ever had the pleaseure of seeing.

That '91 title game was the one that didn't get away (for once!). I liked that (IIRC) Koubek opened up the scoring - I don't think he fared so well against UNLV in '90 - and shortly thereafter the Hurley to Hill alley-oop that Hill corralled at the edge of the backboard before bringing it home for 2. Good times.

'92 was a great offensive game, and was it Sean Woods who hit that runner over Laettner just before the Hill to Laettner shot? That was an amazing shot, too - just came too early for UK!

And Duke-MD '01. Gone in 54 seconds.

I think those might be my 3 favorite Duke games, more than the 92 or 01 title games.

I made a DVD of last weekend's game vs Gonzaga, expecting it to be a 1) memorable 2) close 3) win. 1 for 3 is good - for baseball.

Same. Although, research shows that we have a greater likelihood of being incorrect when recollecting the evetns of where we were, etc.:p

Its funny, I'm sitting here watching this game, I obviously know the results, and yet I'm still nervous watching the end of the game.

It was indeed Sean Woods. As Verne Lundquist said, "where did he find the courage to take that shot."

courage? Well, it was an impressive shot, esp over Laettner, & considering difference in height. But didn't Laettner also have 4 fouls? He couldn't touch him - or anyone- or UK would have been shooting FTs.

My Favorite is the 2001 Championship Game - it's the best!
