The "Gone in 54 Seconds" game comes in at #7. The 6OT Syracuse-UConn epic is rightfully at #1.

I think SI missed the boat on this one. The Gone in 54 Seconds game wasn't that great a game, as I recall. The last minute was pretty special, I'll admit, but Duke had been pretty sloppy to that point, which is why Maryland had the lead it did. Jason's heroics rescued the Blue Devils from a loss they otherwise deserved.

IMO, the Duke game this decade that stands out for being well played on both sides by high quality teams is the 2001 ACC Semifinal against Maryland - a great game that came down to great plays by senior leaders in the final minutes. Maryland rallies to erase a 14 point Duke lead in the second half, Nate soars for the tip-in to give Duke the 84-82 lead, and Juan Dixon's half-court heave almost won it for the Terps.
