The central part of their team, Evan Turner, took a NASTY fall today and fractured 2 vertebrae. He's out 8 weeks right now, which, I think, ends their chances at a Big Ten title.

Very scary play. Hope the best for the young man.

I saw the replay and could not help but feel horrible for the young man. We all want to win but we would much rather beat an opponent when they are at full speed so I am sure the true competitors in the big ten are hoping for a speedy recovery.

I saw the replay on TV. Turner was at about the same "altitude" that Plumlee1 was when he nearly hit his head on the backboard in a recent game, and then went straight down onto his back.

While it is a major detour to Ohio State's title chase, the main thing is to hope that Turner has no permanent injuries from the fall.

All true sports fans wish him the very best and a speedy recovery!

From what I've heard (have no link, heard it on the radio) he's going to be "fine." Fractured some vertebra, has a pretty long recovery time but no permanent damage, which is great news for a back injury.
