WOW. Love it. Wish JWill didn't take the bait, but also kind of happy he did. That doesn't make sense, but neither does how I feel about this.

After watching this video that linked to the article: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avuG5Bjqk58 all I have to say is, if Irving does end up being the best guard to come out of NJ like his coach is predicting, next year should be a lot of fun.

It's fun to go back and watch videos like this to remember just how good guys lie Williams were. Dawkins, Ferry, Laettener, Hurely and Hill were too early for the you tube faze but I sure would love to relive some of their games. I might have to go poking around to see what is out there.

The legendary Bootsie Thornton game becomes fuzzy in this message board discussion. Now someone can correct me if my memory is wrong, but the "Bootsie" game was at MSG in January 1999 with Thornton scoring 40 points but Duke winning the game 92-88. In the 83-82 loss to St. John's in 2000 (Duke's last non-conference loss at CIS), Thornton "only" scored 22 points.

My main point is we won the Bootsie game.

You are correct. The Bootsie game was at MSG in a game that we won close. Bootsie had a good game at Cameron as well, but it wasn't THE Bootsie game.

As far as I'm concerned, THE Bootsy game is the game we lost in Cameron in 2000.

Johnny, you are an honorable man and, as far as I am concerned, alway welcome. Come back on occasions other than we are playing - let us know how "The Johnny's" are doing.
