Obviously, in a blowout of this magnitude, all plus/minus stats should be taken with several grains of salt. That said Miles Plumlee and Ryan Kelly really stand out for their performances. Miles' numbers matched the eye test -- he plaid great. And going into the season, I didn't think Kelly would contribute much. He still might not be a big factor against good teams -- remember that Taylor King started his career with some big plus/minus performances against bad teams -- but he's showing hopeful signs. Oh, and clearly Jordan Davidson should play 40 minutes a night.

Anyway, onto the numbers ...

Big comedown for Z today, after being a plus/minus star the first two games. Anomaly? Or was there something about Charlotte that stymied him? Or just a bad game? It's odd because with his stellar numbers (9 and 13 in 16 minutes) it seemed like a good game for him.

With his excellent per minute numbers generally, both last year and this year, and his usually top notch plus/minus totals, I have often wondered whether the answer (a) he should get more minutes, whether he looks a little awkward or not; or (b) he can only play well against poor teams and in carefully chosen situations. Looking at the plus/minus numbers for Charlotte, I'm still wondering.

Jordan Davidson continues his stellar play. I believe he's +80 and +140 per 40 minutes in the last two games. He really is his brother's brother. :)

I really liked what I saw the other night . With that being said I would still love to see more of the bench play before we get into ACC play.
