I've noticed on all of the schedules, the Duke vs. Radford game on Saturday isn't scheduled to be on TV. I know it is a 3:00 game, but usually the games are always on TV. Does anyone know why this is?

Because it's Radford? No offense to them, but this may be the easiest game that we play all year. I'm not surprised that it's not on TV

While everyone knows the vast Duke/Media conspiracy exists, they leave one or two games off TV each season for "plausible deniability".

Little off base here, they won the Big South last year and played UNC in the tourney. They only lost 1 starter and are projected to be much better than Coastal Carolina. It won't be a 50 point win in my opinion.

What bothers me is that if this game is NOT on TV, why did they schedule it at a conflicting time with the football game. I really want to see the football game, but I don't think I'm going to give up my basketball tickets to do so. Thank goodness for dvr!

you might have to keep your ears covered at the game as I'm sure if things go well or are tight at the end they will give some updates to the people in Cameron

Radford is picked to win the Big South this year. This is a tougher opponent than UNCG and Coastal Carolina.

I think this will be one of the tougher early season matchups. They have a very talented senior big man- 6' 11" 260- Art Parakhouski- who plays for the Belarus team at the European Junior Championships. This guy makes them very tough- has put up big numbers in the past- 39 and 19 against Liberty and averaged 26 and 18 in the Big South Tourney- and he gives them a solid if not dominant inside presence. Our big buys will be very challenged in this game- look for foul trouble to mount if they are not careful.

My pocket schedule shows the game originally set for 7pm. Why would Duke change the time to 3pm AFTER finding out the time of the football game? Anyone know the reason?

I think Charlotte might be our easiest win. Radford is a decent team and they have a guy named Artsiom Parakhouski who averages 25.5 points and another guy averaging 21. Now they haven't played a team like Duke yet and we should win this but watch out.

yeah radford is supposed to be pretty decent. but they are not full strength, their starting 6'8 SF broke his wrist before the season started, ala mason. They have another guy who has to sit 6 games, and their starting pg sat their first 2 games, so his first game of the season will be vs. us. so they pretty much have zero depth in the front court, but their front court is very good.

The Art fella is projected to be drafted in the 2nd round by nbadraft.net and draftexpress.com. I remember reading a jeff goodman article saying they may have the best mid major front court in the nation ( http://community.foxsports.com/goodmanonfox/blog/2009/09/30/lawals_return_bolsters_worsttofirst_radford_loaded _up_front ).

Miles, LT, and Z will hopefully get them in foul trouble.

I usually listen to 96.7 fm. I don't know if you can pick that up in Greenville though as i live near Burlington. If its a Durham channel you might be able to pick it up, you can also listen online if you want.

I am going to the game today. Looking forward to it. I am interested to see how Miles will do against Radford's Big Fella. It should be a good test.

I also just checked out the new Blue Planet. Airowe has a thread up on it. The new changes are really good.

I will post a report on the game today when I get home. I hope they play as well as they did Tuesday...

I purchased the Inside Access from goduke.com for the month of November in order to watch Duke's two preseason games against Findlay and Pfeiffer. I see on goduke.com that the Radford game will be shown on Inside Access as well. Will I be able to watch the Radford with the package that I bought for the preseason games? Not paying extra if that's the case. If it's not on Inside Access, screw it. I will pick it up on the internet somewhere. I believe you can access it through ESPN Triangle or WSFL (if they are still carrying games). Even though five bucks is nothing, I'm not paying for a separate money-making plan.

There's a button for play by play, a button for Radford stats, and seemingly no button for Duke's stats.

Turns out that Duke's stats are actually pulled up by pressing an unlabeled button camoflauged by the black screen.

There were a bunch of post during the off season about how it wasn't that big of a deal that we lost Elliot Williams because Dawkins was a better fit for Duke's system. At the time I thought this was just a bunch of sour grapes and wishful thinking but after watching brick after brick from Williams against Kansas the other night and hearing about Dawkins' shooting today, I'm becoming a believer.

ESPN.com listed Mason Plumlee as playing a couple minutes in the Charlotte Game. Guess that is understandable, though. But I was excited until I turned on the game and saw MP2 on the bench with his wrist wrapped. :)

I can't wait to see Duke's points/possession for this game. It's around 1.5 with six minutes to go, which is just completely insane.

Obviously Radford isn't an ACC-caliber team, but I'm extremely happy with how Miles and Andre have played today. If they can keep developing and contributing, it will make Duke so much better.

Scheyer has 7 assists vs 0 turnovers. I don't think that he has a TO yet this season. That gives him 21 assists with out a TO which is just insane. He needs to have a turnover so that there he can have an assist to TO ratio!!!!!!!!!
