Duke Baseball to play at DBAP

Personally I think it is a great idea. Attendance at Jack Coombs field is pretty pathetic. I actually think they will get better fan turnout (among both Duke students and Community folks) at the DBAP given the popularity of the American Tobacco Complex.

I'll be there. Should be easier to park downtown than near Historic Jack Coombs Field.

That's great. Should be a win-win for Duke and Durham.

I have long been (privately) advocating for the move to DBAP, freeing up the space currently occupied by Coombs for a new track, thus getting the track out of Wallace Wade to improve the football experience.

Improves the facilities for all three sports in one fell swoop.

This helps recruiting as well. Playing on the Coombs field is not attractive to recruits who visit other stadiums and then have a smaller venue to compare at Duke.

If I was a baseball recruit I would want to play on a field that the big boys play on.
