I believe the article is free for all to read, but I am not sure. I found it to be behind the times on what Duke is trying to do this year. Last I heard one Plumlee if not both was going to be starting most nights. I just felt like the article was poorly researched.

I apologize if this is not free I am pretty sure it is though. Feel free to remove this thread if it is not.

That reads like someone had lots of older press information in front of him and hadn't really been paying attention to more recent developments. Can't blame him; he's like all the other writers trying to give snapshots of 100 different teams.

But he's right that Duke could be forced to be more creative than it wants to if Smith, Dre Dawk, or Scheyer goes down. I don't know about a disaster or the backcourt being perilously thin, but it would present challenges to lose one of those three. It'll happen at some point, if not by injury (Gawd forbid) by fouls.

OTOH, it might be fun to see what a BIG Duke team, playing helping zone and not trying to press, could do. These big guys can run the court on the break and, with a zone, could force smaller teams into a pure perimeter game, shooting over some very long arms.

You're right. It's not current. Waste of time.

Their 2010 recruiting rankings are more up to date than the 2009 preseason predictions:
