No problem.
My wife's out of the country, can you tell I was bored last night?

BTW, the kid that State signed to come in next year...Ryan Harrow...looks like he will be fun to watch doesn't he?

Tell your wife we said thank you too. Great work.

Haven't seen the Harrow videos you posted yet, but evidently the kid is electric on offense.

Wow, that kid looks like he is going to be an absolute terror in the ACC

I don't think I had ever fully appreciated Seth Curry's ballhandling ability. He had some truly great crossovers and step backs to get his shot off last season. After he sits for a year and we add him to Dawkins, Kelly, and Mason from our 2009 recruiting class, we may have a pretty special group.

NC State also has Jordan Vandenburg coming in this year. If he doesn't redshirt, at 7 feet he could be a fun kid to watch

NC State has not had success under Lowe.

But if CJ Leslie decides to recommit to NCSU, which a lot of people think he will, State will have a recruiting with 2 5-start recruits, and a very good 4-star SG in Lorenzo Brown.

This might not be State's year, but if Lowe gets the class he wants for '10, they could be a contender in the future

While YouTube clips are...YouTube clips, I was surprised to see how long, quick and smooth Andre Dawkins looked. For some reason, I had mentally pictured him as more of a PG type untill I saw his video. I'd say he's SG all they way from that.
You could have a real good one there.

I agree that Lowe is making progress in the recruiting game, but who are these "a lot of people"? I haven't heard that anywhere...

Well He has been spending a lot of his time on NC State's campus lately, and the feel around the nc state community, at least from what I've heard, is that they think he is very high on state.

I don't have the link but read something earlier today where Harlow was saying he is a complete guard and guys like Knight (and somebody else might have been Irving can't remember) are great players but only offensively.

Here's some more info I ran across on Harrow (http://www.highschoolhoop.com/getting-up/2009/09/snub-lights-a-fire-with-nc-state-star-recruit-ryan-harrow/#more-1658) that's pretty interesting.

I don't think the typical dismissal of youtube highlights applies to Seth. His opponents were division I athletes, albeit low caliber ones, not high school prospects. In addition, these were real games that counted, not exhibitions that are tailor-made to create highlight reels.

I am extremely excited to get Seth on the court for real games.

I'm having a hard time getting excited by Curry from the video myself. He looks like a solid player, don't get me wrong... he creates his space nicely with the step back move. But he appears to lack some of the athleticism of, say, Andre Dawkins, who got my attention moreso than Curry.

That said, I'll wait until I see him play before forming an opinion.

Then again, it was damn near impossible to concentrate and take an objective look at him while suffering through that cheesy music... :)

... and he's so humble.

I will say though that I was surprised by how good he looks on those highlight reels; his athleticism is very impressive. He's going to be good at NC St.

Anybody else see the similarity of Leslie McDonald as a player likely to fill the same role for the Heels as Green, Jawad, Okulaja etc... in the past?

This is part 10 of 11 of one game at the Boost mobile elite (dates back to August). I watched all 11 over the weekend and thought this particular vid was good as it features Kyrie Irving #7 red and Austing Rivers #15 red versus Harrison Barnes #14 blue and Roscoe Smith #35blue.

The Duke recruits really stand out here. You must see pt 11 to see who hits the game winner!

I had not seen this vid posted yet........sorry if it has been.

Another NC State incoming frosh is Josh Davis.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Y-G73ItEaE&feature=related

He and my son went to high school together.

Since both of my children are at NCSU, I've got a new affinity for State. I'm hoping for Sidney to turn that team around.

I'm really surprised at how low energy this was. A whole lot of standing around and walking it up the floor.

Frankly, I don't see how you could make any statement about any of the players' skills based on that game, other than many of them can make a lightly guarded three point shot.

That said, it didn't look like anybody on the floor could guard Harrison Barnes, who appeared to get to the rim at will. For a 6'8" guy, Roscoe certainly isn't shy about taking the three, and he made every one I noticed, but he has a funny follow-through.

I have enjoyed watching Ryan Harrow for the past several years at Walton, our local High School. Besides catching the games as a hoops fan and the fact that my sons attended Walton, I wanted to watch Ga Tech recruit Glenn Rice Jr. I had the privilege of coaching Glenn Rice in a rec league when he was a ninth grader. He played up with 12 graders so he could "toughen up".

Well, as well as Glenn played, Ryan Harrow attracted my attention. This kid is a thin wisp of a player, but he is the real deal. I watched him in epic match ups with Wheeler High who often have 4 or more D1 recruits on the roster. ( one going to Wake and one to NC State this year) His vision, decision making and handle are incredible. I don't envy any guard in the ACC keeping up with him.
