Don't know how many folks have seen this yet; it happened at last week's Canadian Open. The shot was made by former Duke golfer Leif Olson.

Did he call the shot?

Thanks roywhite for the heads up. Several of my friends at church have been asking if I saw the shot. What they failed to tell me it was a Duke guy. I guess they didn't tell me since they're tarhole and Deacon fans. Go Duke!

I saw the last bit of the shot while at the gym and had no idea it was a hole in one, let alone that it was by a former Duke player. Even more awesome.

Man, I had no idea Leif was a former Dukie. I actually thought he went to Wake Forest. Hopefully that shot will turn his luck around. I think they said he had made $19,000 on tour thus far for 2009. Not so good.

Thanks

Channel 4 news in LA teased the early evening sports with my unbelievable hole in one you will ever see or something to that effect.

Then at the end of the sports segment said they ran out time, tune in at 11.

I went to bed. Thanks

Leif ended up tied for 36th at the Canadian Open, winning $24,544; in addition, his hole-in-one won him a sport car (shown in the video) worth approx. $51,000. Whether he could request cash instead of the car, don't know.

It was a good weekend for him; wish him well.

he's now won enough money to pay the taxes on the car.

season's young, however, and he gets to golf for a living.
