Thanks, Carlos.

Reggie Bullock put on quite a show in a losing effort. If he always plays that well, hard ot believe he is only rated #13.

He defended vs 2 on 1 and prevented a dunk by Jared sullinger w/o fouling, scored like 30 points and must have had double digit boards, stold the ball in open court.

No way Barnes is a must get for UNC as Reggie @ 6' 6" can definitely play SF or SG if Ginyard for sure and Henson if he even is a SF both leave.

There are some replays from something like 6 AM to 10 AM and then the finals which unfortunately Reggie's team will not be in from something lke 6 PM to 9 PM tomorrow that I have set up to be TIVO'd

The ESPN-U trailers during the game have not figured out yet that Brad Beal and Duke like one another.

Duke was listed 1st or second on quite a few guys (not always alphabetical possibily alpha by high vs medium interest) and sometimes like 4th on say Dominique Ferguson.

Didn't want to create an entire thread for this but I read that Nolan was in Vegas this weekend supporting his "dad's" team - the Derek Smith All-stars.

A quick search shows that Nolan is very much a part of the team. This is quite interesting and encouraging in a lot of promising ways.

Check out a very young Nolan on the link...

Nolan Smith's stepfather is Curtis Malone, head of DC Assault, not the Derek Smith All Stars. Nolan and his buddy Michael Beasley were on the bench for numerous Assault games this past weekend in Vegas. Duke commits Tyler Thornton and Josh Hairston are both on the Assault 17 team, while potential target Quinn cook is on the 16s.

You're kidding right? You do know who Derek Smith is right?

Has anyone been able to actually view any of the plays going on, on the floor?

...or can any camera angle reveal anything beyond Andy Katz's huge noggin?

Literally and figuratively.

"Boy! Head! Now!"

Actually it's a bit confusing in that the game on ESPNU are made for TV. IOW, even thought they are handing out medals, well, it's too difficult to go into.

The Showcase preceded the AAU Nationals which are in full bloom on the courts as I type. Back to back events with made for TV games made for some confusing coverage.

Anyhow, maybe a better title for this thread is Vegas AAU Ball or something. Duke is on the scene big time - http://bluedevilnation.net/2009/07/aau-nationals-evening-session-day-one-blue-devils-turn-out-to-support-their-own/
