Went to check out the new Mets park: what a beauty! Excellent sight lines, fab amenities, reasonably priced beer and great food.
Really more like an upscale theme park with some hapless group of guys doing something or other on the field. At least they didn't distract us from enjoying the scenery.

As a kid growing up in Great Neck, we would go water skiing out on L. I. Sound. At lunch time, we'd motor down to LaGuardia and munch our sandwiches while watching the planes take off and land. :cool: Always entertaining, sometimes high drama! :eek:

We were 15 or 16, no Bud Lights (or any other beer) involved.

If you had any of this stuff, at 15 or 16, it would have been enough drama and entertainment all on it's own. Who would need the airport?
