I'm a 15 year old who loves fashion, and especially nice uniforms.

But I even think that the old fashion jerseys from 2001, with just the blue and white was the best, and they should wear those again, no matter how much money they are losing

I like the classic design Coach Cutcliffe selected for the football uniforms last year. The blue and white had a sharp contrast and looked better than any rendition with black. I'd advocate the same trend in basketball uniforms. (I hope the cheerleaders can go with the same trend this year. Their mostly black uniforms seemed out of sync with the "blue out.")

Although I prefer the thin lettering, both were the best looking uniforms in the game.

The black jersey's are a passing fad. The classic lighter duke blue and white that we used through the 90's is more a part of our history and tradition IMO, so my favorite is obviously that jersey. I did like the newer ones with the gothic architecture though.

For me it's not a dislike of black..... Black is not one of our school colors. When I see royal blue I think of Duke. Perhaps inspired by a thread on the Off Topic board, one of the Beach Boys' songs says it best, "Be true to your school....."

thats what a traditional school's uniform should be like.
no black, just plain school colors.
If Duke was sponsored by Adidas, they wouldn't have these uniform problems.

Every time Duke plays a game with shiny shoulder cut modern-styled black jerseys with borders and gimmicks out the wazoo a little part of me dies. IMO they were great up through 2001 or so, and it's been downhill from there. Stick with white, royal blue, big bold formatting, and the classic font... it's an institution, be proud.

I'm happy with whatever the team wants and since they helped design these last uniforms I'm happy with those. Unifroms always change according to the era, I think that should be excepted.

You're probably right when it come to staying current with styles, but black? Where does black come from? It's not one of our colors. It's a Nike fetish, and we should tell Nike to forget it. Oh, yeah, and let's forget the droopy draws while we're at it.

Actually, I really like the Black Uniforms. Even though it isn't a school color, I like how they look. The shiny trim is pretty cool looking too.

so I really like the traditional uniforms with the school colors, meaning white and Duke blue (which is Prussian blue, not royal blue, as noted in the university archives: "Prussian Blue is not as dark as Navy Blue, nor as light as Royal Blue, two colors to which Duke Blue is often compared.") I even liked the throwback uniforms the team used at home once (perhaps to celebrate 100 years of Duke basketball) with an updated version of the exploding Duke letters on the front.

I have never liked the black uniforms, and certainly not the black line they used a couple of years ago on the border of the home whites. (Even my daughter hated that one, so I guess it's not an age issue entirely.)

Black looks good on the Princeton uniforms, but that is one of their school colors. They don't use blue, and we should not use black.

I don't know about you, but I see 5 pro's in the picture. Granted Ewing isn't in the nba anymore, but he had a fairly successful couple of seasons in LA.
