I've been mostly away from the Boards lately, so please forgive me if I'm adding to something already known. Wednesday night (June 3) at 11 p.m. Eastern, Coach K will be the guest on the Center Stage program on the YES network (yeah, that's the Yankees' cable channel).

I watched the show and it was really solid. Michael Kay is no Charlie Rose but it was a fun interview.

Kay does a segment at the end called "Hit & Run" where the interviewee is asked to answer a series of quick questions with quick answers. The funniest one, to me, was the following:

Michael Kay:
"If you were trapped in a foxhole, which person would you want in there that would help you get out?"

Coach:
(thinks for a few seconds, breaks into a wise-guy grin and replies, laughing)
"Wojo. I know he would fight and die for me. He would go first, I know that."

Classic.

Ooh! Great site. This Yankee fan thanks you

BTW, for all you baseball fans who don't live where the team you root for is, mlb.com offers full season radio coverage for EVERY major league game, home and away broadcasts, for only $14.95 for the season. Best bargain on the web. http://newyork.yankees.mlb.com/mediacenter/ You can also subscribe for TV and HD TV coverage, but that is a good bit more money. I'm in my second season of listening to almost all the games on WCBS radio. That, and the gamecast http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/scoreboard play by play graphics almost makes me feel like I'm in NY, but without easy access to the Carnegie Deli

"At least one well-informed NBA informant insists that Lakers coach Phil Jackson will hang up the clipboard this summer and his successor could be Duke's Mike Krzyzewski -- especially if his highly-influential agent (Kobe Bryant) puts the heat on Lakers management. "

I don't believe this for one second but just the thought of it is making me sick.
