Great Stuff! Thanks for the post. If we manage to add Barnes + Knight or Irving to Dawkins, Hairston, and Thornton, it will be one killer class! That would be an awesome deal.

Don't forget Seth Curry will be playing this year too just as a Sophomore.

The above is a link to a story about the class of 2010 rankings that scout just updated.

Barnes is 1
Knight is 2

Kyrie Irving is in the top 10 also, without being that elite level 1 and done talent that Knight is, although Irving is doubtfull to graduate from college before going pro.

I kind of wish the Wall/Bledsoe thing would wind up, because it really affects our play with this kid. He is starting to look HARD at IU, and with Crean's rep with guards, and the ABUNDANT pt available, that deal might close soon. Then, we might have all our eggs in the Knight basket, and that is iffy.

Dawkins went up a little, and if he continues his recent play he could be knocking on the top 10 by July. His rep is going up. So much so that K might want to keep his eye on SGs from the following class, just in case.

Hairston dropped into the 30's which is probably largely due to him playing against miserable, small school comp in HS. Hopefully he rebounds this summer. No one goes up by putting up good (not spectacular) numbers in a state championship where the player is the tallest guy on the floor by 3-4 inches.

Thornton is holding steady in the mid 60s.

The reports I've read on Dawkins from the links posted on DBR and from ESPN and other recruiting resources have all been incredibly glowing for Dawkins. After finishing those reports, I'm always surprised he hasn't quite cracked the top ten in the rankings. A strong guard with good size, excellent athleticism, and an already killer outside shot sounds like an instant contributor. Obviously I know recruits have a lot to adjust to when they finally do suit up for their college teams, but Dawkins certainly sounds like he's got everything you'd want in a college wing. I wish I could see him play in high school and I can't wait for him to suit up for Duke.
