My brother is fortunate enough to be working with the men's and women's McD's All Americans for the 4th straight year.

He said both Plumlee and Kelly are doing well there. He is usually pretty short on words so I didn't get much else out of him!!!

Watching the skills competition...

Ryan Kelly can definitely shoot the ball folks. Don't know if he can do anything else or what else he might be able to do, but he can definitely shoot.

He is the one that I predict will contribute immediately... as of now at least

Mason seems so much taller than Miles.

Plumlee tried to dunk THREE balls at once!

That was crazy. I would love to see him complete that dunk. The other one was still pretty nice though.

What a Dunk! Mason is a crazy dunker! Too bad he didn't win. I don't know that he will be a cure all for us, but I am excited about this guy.

Mason can throw DOWN!!

Okay, so are you guys excited about Kelly and Plumlee now? Coupled with Curry transferring, this is the best week-after-NCAA-exit I can remember in a while.

Outstanding job by both Ryan and Mason. Ryan winnning the 3 point contest and Mason finishing second in the dunk contest... (Although Steve Smith having something to say in that)

Steve Smith is only 5-9...obviously he is biased against tall people ;)

Very fun to watch and I am excited for next year!

Got to see my brother on camera A LOT. He was the guy controlling the racks for the 3 pt contests, was at half court during the skills and you could see him right behind Mason after his last dunk.

He said both Kelly and Plumlee are great kids and he is going to show them a bunch of extra drills to work on while he has time down there with them.

LOL, that is so true.

Usually it takes me a month before I can bear to visit this site again, but here I am already. :)

Now if only Wall will commit...

Somebody recently posted in another thread that Kelly was the better post scorer and MP2 more of a perimeter player. I had believed the opposite, that Kelly was more of a 3/4 and MP2 a 4/5. The McD skills contest and seeing the current physiques would seem to confirm my suspicions. Any help available?

Nick Horvath supposedly did well in 3-point contests and looked like he should be able to play down low. I don't think he's the comparison you were looking for though.

Oh, come on. It would be great fun to have one of the freshmen rip up the summer pick-up games and become the target of half of the posters on this board! :D

I heard Czyz and Kelly will have classic duels this summer, facing off and scoring at will, each carrying his team - prompting speculation that they will each be All-ACC selections and possible All-Americans - and concern that they will turn pro at the end of the year!
