Don Asmussen seems to thinks it's not a newspaper. (http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2009/03/27/DDASMUSSENBR.DTL)

I don't think it's gotten that bad, but we are losing newspapers right and left.

My hometown (suburban) paper is a skeleton of itself. Is it the same everywhere, now?

My 401(k) statements.

I have noticed my local paper (St Petersburg Times) is much thinner thatn it once was...and the ad to story ratio has gone way up.

Sad...I'm old school, I like a real paper with coffee in the morning.

Strangely, the Raleigh N&O Sunday edition was a lot plumper than usual yesterday. By the way, I've been using Cottonelle wipes.

I have read the newspaper is on the way out. I will really miss the "hard copy". Its just enjoyable for me to sit down in the morning with my coffee & read the news. I still go on the net for more news. We get the Durham Hearld Sun. Its not a great paper but has more local news. Christian was so right when he called it the ('92) "the little Durham Hearld". I think since then, the Hearld Sun has never said anything good about him.
