Well, Duke won 5-4. The heels scored in the 9th then loaded the bases with 2 out before flying out to left to end the game. Outstanding win for Duke. Wolcott, who shut out Miaimi last week, was again outstanding and picked up the win. Rubber game tomorrow. Duke is now a solid 4-4 in the ACC. Making some noise.

Go Duke!! I'm excited for the rest of the season. Coach Mac has done an excellent job at Duke thus far, and its only going to get better as we continue to attract top recruits (2008 frosh class ranked 25th). Duke has made some very smart hirings in their coaching staff in the past few seasons (Coach Cut, Mac) that I think are going to make us a top contender in each of their sports.

GO DUKE!!

Impressive win for the Blue Devils. I think I'll be making a visit to Historic Jack Coombs Field for the first time in a long time this season! Anyone know if you have to buy tickets for baseball these days?

Wow!

With the scouts in attendance, the kids may be making themselves some money this weekend.

Thanks for the updates.

This was a fantastic accomplishment. We take 2 of 3 at UNC and were close to taking 2 out of 3 at Miami.

We don't have the most talent, but it seems that we are playing fundamental baseball with everybody comfortable in their roles. They beat up on the potential number 1 mlb draft pick for next year's draft.

Recruiting baseball players to Duke will be battle our coach will have to fight and become accustomed to due to scholarship limitations and academic standards. Hopefully we can start getting some top notch talent in and start challenging the traditional ACC powers.

Wouldn't those results in the Miami and UNC series indicate challenging the traditional powers?

Yeah, I know it's early in the season, but it seems like the progress is real. Good to see.

Both Miami losses were also on the road and came in the bottom of the ninth.

Well, I meant consistently year in and year out challenging the Georgia Tech's and Miami's of the ACC. We need to get into the ACC tournament first before we can even start any conversation about being legit.

Doesn't matter what sport, after a Carolina loss to Duke IC is always highly amusing.
