I don't know about the rest of you guys, but it seems that a week doesn't go by around tournament time that a non-Duke friend is sending me a new Youtube link related to this.

On another note...it's cool to see that Seyward Darby (Dear Kilian Melloy, Who's Darby Seyward?), the Chronicle's editor a few years back, has kept up with journalism.

Seyward's done an excellent job at TNR, and isn't the only former Chronicle to have thrived in journalism in the past few years:

> David Walters'04, the former editor of the arts section Recess, was an editor at Esquire, and is now an editor at Details.

> Greg Veis'03, also a former editor of Recess, is an editor at TNR and was formerly a writer for GQ

> Sarak Kwak'07, a former sports writer and news editor, is a contributing writer for Sports Illustrated

> David Ingram'02, a former editor like Seyward, is a Capitol Hill reporter for the Legal Times

> Alex Garinger'04, also a former editor, was the editor of a NYC-based magazine and is currently the editor of an online news mag

I have noticed this phenomenon as well. Paulus, for some reason, seems to be the most prominent target. My favorite part is how they use pictures of Danny Green's crotch in Paulus's face on a dunk, yet also use pictures of Dahntay Jones's crotch in someone else's face to prove that "Duke is gay."

How does using "The EDGEBoston" as a news source help your point-of-view?

Dave was actually '03 (one of my roommates junior year). He worked for the Charlotte Observer (I think) on the political desk out of Raleigh for several years before going to the Legal Times (a move made just last summer). Good journalist, better person.

Thanks for the correction, and yes, I completely agree. Dave's as good as they come. I think he spent some time at the Winston Salem-Journal, as well.

How does using "The EDGEBoston" as a news source help your point-of-view?

You seem to be having trouble distinguishing news sources from commentary.

A news source is not needed to note the homophobic inanity of Maryland and other fans; one needs only to observe them briefly. They are rarely subtle.

I hear this stuff all day in high school. When I ask why people say Duke players are gay they usually say something like "Because they suck."

Isn't that what they call an excellent come back! :D
