Bad news for UA

What if some of the incoming recruits change their minds?

Oh wait, there aren't any recruits committed.

What if they lose some scholarships?

Oh wait, they currently will have at least 5 unused scholarships next year.

What if the lose recruiting visits?

Oh wait, they haven't named a "permanent" head coach yet, so there really isn't any recruiting going on.

Details of the infraction: The basketball office sent out a letter signed by Lute to UA boosters asking them to give money to support the 2008 version of the Cactus Classic, which annually brings in hundreds of recruitable elite athletes. The letter stated:

"This tournament is a huge tool for us and it is a big part of how we get our recruits."

Lute initially denied signing the letter. Six of UA's current 12 man roster attended the Cactus Classic.

Lute left the program in shambles. Will this eventually harm is legacy or secure it (once Lute left, the program went down the tubes)?
