You beat me and my super slow internet to this.

I was really surprised by that. Is it only full seasons in the decade, or the actual decade itself? If the latter, I can't believe we matched the record and still have the rest of this season and ~10 games next fall.

For that matter, I can't believe the decade is almost over... and that we all survived Y2K! ;)

I believe the record starts with the beginning of the 1999-2000 season and will end with the end of this season.

It's pretty staggering to think that Duke has a good chance to average more than 29 wins/year for an entire decade.

Yeah, I added them up. It includes the 1999-2000 season and includes all wins, including post-season. So, we're at 286, tied with Kansas from the 90's. To break the record, we need to do any one of the following:

1. beat UNC
2. win one in the ACCT
3. win one in the NCAAT

Go Duke!

If we were to fail to accomplish all 3, I think the next 3 weeks would be the longest of my life!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm pretty confident that we can accomplish at least 2 of the 3.

Clearly the Duke brand is dying.

Clearly the Duke brand is dying.

I'd already started shovelling dirt on it :)

Anyone know what the record is for wins over any ten consecutive seasons? Duke 1997-2006 would certainly be up there.
