Good game in progress with Miami up at the half. Teague has looked very tentative and one Wake player got absolutely jacked up running into a screen. This one could get interesting.

Agreed. Wake seems to back down from a physical punch in the mouth. They can, and will, match talent and athleticism with anybody. But they don't take a "punch in the mouth" very well.

They are finding out what it is like to get the opponents best shot, game in and game out. It is rough. Just ask Duke and UNC. Wake may collapse (relatively speaking) under the pressure.

As I keep saying, Wake is too young to be consistent in the ACC.

Well, Wake better get it together fast. It's not looking too good...

I think we're starting to see the road woes they had last year. Maybe it's a young team thing.

Wow, Miami up by 20 as I catch up with things. Most unexpected!

I dunno how I feel about this. I'd much rather Wake be a real contender than a team that loses by 20 to Miami, even if it is a decent Miami team.

I also don't really like that Duke apparently will be Wake's only victory in its last four games. But oh well.

Guess what they did last year too?

The only explanation to this is that Wake, though superbly talented and capable of a Final Four run, just isn't very mature. Get that over this summer, and get everyone back next year, and they probably can beat some pro teams out there.

dth.

Yeah, the level of talent in the NBA is something I have really some to appreciate in the last few years. JJ made some comments to that effect recently, after attending the Duke/State game. He made it clear that the NBA game is on a significantly higher level. (I still prefer to watch the college game, of course.)
