This edition wraps up by checking in on Brandon Knight down in Florida. On Wednesday evening he scored 36 points as Pine Crest School defeated Benjamin 88 - 69 (http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/highschool/basketball/browardboys/sfl-bb1sbjan08,0,7954371.story). Knight recorded eight assists and made five three point shots in the game. Knight and Pine Crest will be back in action on Saturday evening at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Classic.

I am a Pine Crest alum! Class of 1972.

Yeah, thanks for sharing. I would love to catch a Ryan Kelly game this year.

Ryan, just like the other Dukie that was from Raleigh (Shav), is taller than everyone he plays. That makes for high scoring and high rankings. Let's hope he uses the weight room wisely and is ready to compete with ACC caliber opponents from day one.

Pine Crest lost to Dillard, 74-73, at the Martin Luther King Jr. Classic. Brandon Knight scored 41 points in the loss. Pine Crest has two losses on the season and both are to Dillard in tournaments. Pine Crest is a 3A school while Dilliard is 5A.

I agree he needs to get stronger- but he has more to his game than just being taller.

We have lost Kenny boynton, a #2 shooting gaurd to Florida. He is a big time scorer and could have been an impact player. We still have Kelly and Plumlee, Though.
