According to Kyle, Duke is running a bit of a different offense this season. He also says that Nolan is ready to go.

Didn't see this anywhere else, but Watzone has the scoop with Smith. Looks like he will be ready for Va Tech on Sunday.

This is definitely good news. Without Nolan, we have no shot to stop Carolina's speed in the backcourt.

Fortunately, we are not playing Carolina this weekend.

Sure we do--Elliott and Scheyer!

Obviously. I think you know what I meant.

With how high-powered Carolina is this year, we are absolutely going to need our best on ball defender against the Heels. Jon is a very good defender, even great at times, but, going coast to coast against perhaps the quickest point guard in the entire country, I would feel most comfortable with Nolan tracking.

As for Williams, I don't think he could be called upon for an entire 40 minutes to provide the coverage we need on the defensive end. He hasn't even played an ACC game yet. He's good, but he needs time.

Could we still beat Carolina without Nolan. I'm sure we could on the right night. But, then again, I could also be killed by helicopter today.

I think Elliot could grow up to be a good player. If he improves like Nolan did, he might be a starter.
