Seth Curry (brother of Stephen), as mentioned in another thread, plays for Liberty.

Last night, in a double-OT game (which Liberty won), he had 21 points, played all 50 minutes, including a breakaway dunk near the end. 13 of his 21 points came in the OT.

As far as an ACC vs. Curry weekend goes, look no further than this coming Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, Steph and the Wildcats take on NC State (game is at noon). On Sunday, Seth and the Flames take on Clemson (game is at 3 pm). Unfortunately, I don't think any of them are on national TV.

Seth scored 22 points tonight and came up huge down the stretch (hitting a jumper and two free throws in the final minute of OT) in Liberty's 69-66 OT win over George Mason. (http://scores.espn.go.com/ncb/recap?gameId=283362335) He is now averaging 22 ppg on the young season. I know it's early, but this kid is really playing well and is starting to remind me of his older brother (Stephen, of course). I read his write-up on scout (http://hsnorthcarolina.scout.com/a.z?s=404&p=8&c=1&nid=2929420)the other day which descibed him as a late bloomer with a good shooting stroke and a fair amount of upside (sounds familiar, eh?). Hard to beleive that local schools (esp. Va Tech) would make the same mistake twice, but....

I was driving home late last night and came across this game on one of the lower stations. Didn't even know who it was at first but it sounded like a great game so I stuck around. Seth also hit a 3 with 11 seconds left to tie the game and send it into overtime. I remember thinking at the time it must be something about the Curry name. Had no idea he was his younger brother.

Va Tech recruited him but I don't think they ever offered a scholarship. Davidson did offer a scholarship. but Seth wanted to go someplace where he could make his own name.

Still, I wish Clemson or NC State or Ga Tech had gotten involved as I would love to have him in the ACC.
